 I got my inspiration for this painting after I heard Felicity Huffman answer a question after winning an Oscar for acting in "TRANSAMERICA".  The question was "What did you and Bill (husband William H. Macy) do after you won?"  She said "Oh, we were out dancing and then went home and took a bubble bath!"  I loved that image, so I painted it!   (Notice the "Oscar" on the table next to the bath?!)

This sun will be the focal point of your living room or work room...whatever room you hang it in!  It's big! It's bright!  It's ORANGE CRUSH!!! A traditional tribute to the sun, colorful and iconic, this 30"x40" acrylic painting will brighten up any space it is hung.

I guess this is another tribute to the moon, and what it might be like to have total access to the heavens.  Innocent enough, this red-headed vixen is enjoying her time sitting on the moon crescent, minding her own business.  She can't help it if the galactic surfer just happens to notice her and takes a quick turnabout to check her out!!! 

This 24"x18" oil painting of THE TEACHER was created after a memory of my fourth grade teacher Mrs. Frizzell.  I tried to capture the essence of my early schooling days like the wooden desks with the apple, the composition books, the alphabet over the chalkboard;  and incorporated some modern elements such at the Please Recycle poster.  The teacher also is wearing a classic suit with smart shoes.  The students are enthralled with her and is that a teacher's pet? 

Gos-sip is a fun 24"x 18" whimsical at its best oil painting. The ladies are sitting on cute little teacup chairs with a hot pot of tea and a barley-twisted table.  The thick shag rug under their feet, the fun butterfly wall-paper encloses them inside what surely must be a very funny house.  The day is bright and there's lots to talk about!  Let's Gos-sip!!! 

A warm winter night and a girl and her dog hanging out in front of the fire...a little playtime before bed!  Who doesn't love their dog?!!!  This warm acrylic painting is 40" x 30" and would be the focal point of any room!

The Hollywood Leap of Faith was painted for all those believers in dreams come true in Los Angeles.  The positive thought - whether it be an artist, a stage actor, a film or tv actor...or even the business person right out of school...that move to L.A.-  the blind leap, the bright lights, the Hollywood Hills, the famous Hollywood sign!!!  Dream Can and Do Come True in this town every day!   This is an original oil painting -  - a common theme for Martha to paint a Leap of Faith, but with the Hollywood twist.  ! 

Oh the blue girl, she's just gonna give it her all and trust that what she is doing is the right thing!  That's the whole story in this universe of taking that leap of faith!  You just gotta believe!  This bright burst of energy is a 18" x 24" acrylic painting, giving us belief and honesty that if we do what we feel is right, if we follow our nose, people will say she knows what she's doing! 

"M & M"  This oil painting just became lovers...I painted over an old canvas that someone gave me and I outlined these two people embracing each other...and let some of the old painting show through.  I liked the way it gave it a surreal quality.  A bit abstract retaining the nose-like characters that I am known for.  This painting is large and looks great in the bedroom. 

This is a bright and favorite sun ...  tribute to the Rasta Spirit, it's an 18" x 18" acrylic canvas that celebrates the sun and the moon of Jamaica!
